Form Link: Prerequisite Clearance Request Prerequisites, co-requisites, and advisories are intended to enhance a student’s chance of success in a desired course. If a student does not meet prerequisites or co-requisites for a course as listed in the class schedule, the student will not be allowed to enroll in that course. Successful completion of a prerequisite or co-requisite course is achieved by a final course grade of "C" or better. • Prerequisite: • Co-requisite: A course that a student must enroll in at the same time as, or prior to, enrolling in the desired course.• Advisory: A course that a student is encouraged, but is not required, to complete prior to enrolling in the more advanced course. Some courses, such as music performances, intercollegiate athletics, and honors programs, limit enrollment in a course based on an audition or other screening procedures.Prerequisite coursework completed at another college must be submitted as official (sealed) transcripts prior to registering for classes. Mail transcripts to Cuesta College Records Office, P.O. Box 8106, San Luis Obispo CA 93403-8106. If coursework was completed at a private institution or a college outside of the State of California, the student may be asked to provide a copy of the catalog course description. In addition to clearing prerequisites, official transcripts are also required for Student Education Plans, GE Certifications, and all program evaluations. Please allow at least six weeks for official transcripts to be received by Cuesta and prerequisites cleared prior to registering. Students may register for all other courses and add courses later that are pending prerequisite clearance. To confirm if prerequisites have been cleared, students may login to PAWS and go to Prerequisite Check. Effective spring 2004, unofficial (unsealed) or faxed transcripts will not be accepted to clear prerequisites. Business Education Courses
