In filling out your FLEX Contract there are five types of activities that you can list:

100 - Individual Activities
200 - Divisional Activities
300 - Academic Senate Sponsored Professional Development
400 - District Events
500 - Other

It is your responsibility to indicate the types of activities you are claiming for FLEX and provide enough information that your Dean/Director can approve these activity as meeting your FLEX obligation.

For example, if you are claiming an Individual Activity, you would select this from the list, indicate the date of the activity, the number of hours, and in the notes field list the name/title of the activity.

Similarly, if you participated in a District Event or Divisional Activity that you wanted to claim for FLEX, you would do the same as above for these types of activities.

NOTE: An Individual Activity is different than an Individual Flex Project. An Individual Activity can be thought of as an activity that in the past occurred throughout the year or is being offered by someone in a particular semester.

An Individual Flex Project is something that you would like to propose for satisfying part or all of your FLEX obligation. To propose an Individual Flex Project select the button and fill out the appropriate information. These proposals are approved online by your Dean/Director along with the rest of your FLEX contract.

If you are unable to access your FLEX contract through IRIS, or if you have any questions concerning your FLEX contract or FLEX activities, please contact your Division Chair or Division Assistant.
