Nursing Assistant 48

Packets are available near the Nursing Office room 2315 in the 2300 building which contain the information that you will need to enroll in this class. Please have all the information completed as soon as possible, as you will not be allowed to perform patient care without it. We begin patient care in a local long term care facility the fourth week of class.

You will need to be fingerprinted prior to patient contact also. If you have been convicted of a crime other than a minor traffic violation, you may need to obtain a clearance prior to enrolling in the class.

The syllabus and textbook are available 1-2 weeks prior to the class begins in the bookstore. Call first to be sure that they are on the shelf. The required textbook is listed in the syllabus.

PowerPoint lessons will be available prior to each class for your convenience during lecture. In the event that the server is down, come to class prepared to take notes.

Health Careers Plus in the Office of Employment Training has programs available to assist students who need help financially.
