Linda M. Harris RN MSN

Biography

I decided I wanted to be a nurse when I was seven years old.  I have never regretted my choice. Looking over my career thus far, I am most proud of the fact that I am every bit as committed, excited and passionate about nursing as I was when I graduated from Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing in 1973

I returned to school while working full-time and earned both my BSN (1984) and MSN (1989) from CSU Dominguez Hills. Prior to my current teaching role, my career has included practicing medical-surgical, intensive care, emergency department, and ambulatory surgery nursing as well as having worked in nursing administrative roles both in hospital and out-patient settings.

I very much enjoy teaching. It is an opportunity to share knowledge, experience and most importantly my passion for nursing. My future health is dependent on new generations of committed, knowledgeable, and eager nurses!

Personally my life is full of adventures with my musicians - husband and son. I attend a lot of concerts! I enjoy visiting museums, zoos, and outdoor activities. I am a gardener, cook and reluctant fitness enthusiast.
