 President's Page

 

Dr. Pelham was born and raised in Titusville, Florida where he attended Brevard Community College. He transferred to Carson Newman College in Tennessee on a debate scholarship and worked on graduate studies at Morehead State  University and Wayne State University where he coached debate.  Dr. Pelham received a doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville.

 

He also coached a nationally ranked debate program while serving as a faculty member of the speech communication faculty at Central Michigan University.

 

In 1989, Dr. Pelham left teaching to enter community college administration at Lake City Community College in Florida, serving as Assistant to the President, Chair/Associate Dean of Arts and Sciences and Vice President for Student Services.  In 1999, he became Vice President for Academic Affairs at Spartanburg Technical College in South Carolina.  He previously served as the Superintendent/President of College of the Siskiyous from 2002 to 2008.
